Bookmark the Love Scottish Islands Community page

If you are viewing the Love Scottish Islands Community on a mobile phone or on a tablet. Here are some ways that you can bookmark the page (so that you can go straight to it).

On iPhone/iPad

The best way to bookmark the Community page on an i-phone (in my opinion) is to add it to your Homescreen (as though it is an App). To do this follow the instructions below or watch the video.

Step 1. Run Safari on your iPhone or iPad and visit the Love Scottish Islands Community stream (if you are not sure here is the link to it (https://www.lovescottishislands.com/activity/)

Step 2. Click Share icon, and tap add to Home Screen. (Besides adding a web page to Home Screen, by using the share icon on Safari app, you can add web pages to bookmark or reading list.)

Step 3. Name the Community page and tap “Add” to put it on your home screen

On Android

As with the iPhone/iPad, the best way to bookmark the Community page on an i-phone is to add it to your Homescreen (as though it is an App). To do this follow the instructions below or watch the video.

Step 1. Open your Android browser and go to the Love Scottish Islands Community page

Step 2. Tap “Menu” and wait for the menu to appear from the bottom of the screen. Select “Add to Home Page”

Step 3. Enter information about the page so that you’ll remember it. While the browser automatically fills in the bookmark address, you need to add a title. Then touch “Done”. You should then see the shortcut on your Home screen.

On a Computer/PC using Google Chrome

To make the Community page a shortcut on your computer/laptop/PC follow the instructions below or watch the video.

  1. Open up the page you want to add a bookmark to.
  2. Find the star in the URL box.
  3. Click the star. A box should pop up.
  4. Choose a name for the bookmark. Leaving it blank will only show the icon for the site.
  5. Choose what folder to keep it in. …
  6. Click Done when you’re done.

If you use any other browsers such as Internet Explorer or Firefox, it is the same procedure.
